In the past, we’ve been called upon to write music for Detroit’s annual Thanksgiving Parade. In 2018 I collaborated with the Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences Choir to deliver a message about public safety.
“Not In My Car” debuted at Hob Nobble Gobble and the parade route the following morning. The messaging remains valid still, as distracted driving continues to be a significant problem.
The song speaks to the message of turning off your phone, putting down your food and drink, and concentrating on the road.
Under the direction of Angela Kee, the DAAS choir did a great job performing the song on live television.
You’re welcome to view our other Thanksgiving features which cover 30 years of collaboration with The Parade Company under the leadership of Tony Michaels. Check out our playlist on Youtube.
