With the recent passing of the prolific Burt Bacharach, we continue celebrating his life and music. Bacharach wrote so many hits that all the artists at the time were clamoring for his compositions.
“Walk On By” – written by Bacharach and lyricist Hal David – was debuted in 1964 by Dionne Warwick, hitting #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Covered over and over again by top artists such as Isaac Hayes, Gloria Gaynor, Seal, and countless others, the song has been cemented into American pop music forever.
In our rendition, vocalist Maurissa Rose delivers a striking performance of the song, backed by a smooth and emotional arrangement.
