I wrote this song for Larry Santos to sing. I took my wife to Olympia Stadium as it was presented for the first time. At that time the Red Wings weren’t doing too well. When we went to hear the song, the crowd was chanting “Dead Wings, My Dead Wings”.
A bit embarrassing, but it was subsequently played by numerous sports stations.
