“I Say A Little Prayer For You” has always been one of my favorite Burt Bacharach and Hal David songs. Originally sung by Dionne Warwick, the song was covered by everyone from Aretha Franklin to Pharrell Williams, hitting the top ten charts worldwide.
While I hold Bacharach’s arrangements in the highest reverence, I felt compelled to reinterpret the song in a new way, centered around the lyric and the solemness of prayer; a quiet plea for humanity, which we so desperately need right now.
