Last May, I organized a live event as a fundraiser for the Children Of Armenia Fund.

It featured live music by decorated singers Kenny Watson, Nancy Ingles, and Justin Noroyan, as well as a special performance of “The Faith,” the third movement from An Armenian Trilogy with Associate Concertmaster Kimberly Kennedy of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Chris Plansker on piano.

Along with inspirational speakers Father Garabed Kochakian and broadcast veteran Chuck Gaidica, the event was a sell out at the Steinway Piano Gallery and raised in excess of $50k for COAF, earmarked for music education for the children in Lori, Armenia.

I was honored to receive news that COAF has dedicated their new recording studio and computer lab in the Yessian family name.

While not every kid will grow up to be Mozart or Yo Yo Ma, music is an important component in a child’s education…teaching confidence and a different way of thinking.

Thank You COAF!
