People ask me If my stories are fictitious. I assure you, they are all 100% true. I first got into the music business back in 1971. During the early years I had a difficult time trying to convince ad agencies that I could write music for their client’s products. Even the local companies would go to New York, Chicago or L.A. before considering a Detroit composer.
Naturally, I have a passion for music but, let’s get real, I needed to make money to support my growing family.
A couple years later, two entrepreneurs invited me to take part in a new business opportunity; A rock & roll concert which we would book and promote. As my world became financially dire, this appeared to be a great solution to my problem.
I had no experience with that side of the business, but hey…what could go wrong?
